The best in the series
This is the third game in the "Century" series. We bought the first game, Century Spice Road, a year or so ago and play it fairly often. It's a quick, fun, easy game that is easy to teach. We really enjoy it. So I'll start my review by saying that if you don't have Century Spice Road, go check that out. It's a really good introduction to the overall theme and style of this game. The second game in the series, Century Easter Wonders, didn't really appeal to our tastes so we have not played it yet.I watched some videos about Century New World and immediately knew that we would be interested in it. It combines the worker-placement mechanic that we enjoy with the quick and easy style of Century Spice Road. We played it at a convention recently and enjoyed it as much as I thought we would. I ordered it as soon as it became available. The turns are quick, the decisions are interesting, and the game flows very well. Much like Century Spice Road. And the cool thing about the Century series is that each game can be combined with each other in various ways to offer more and different replay ability. So far we have not played the combo of Century Spice Road and Century New World. We've been having fun with just the base game.I am going to knock this a star for the quality of the "board". It's made up of several thin paper-like sheets. It's modular, meaning that different sheets can be used for each game to again offer more replay ability. Also, some of the sheets are used in the combo versions of this game with the others in the series. However, I would have preferred that they were made of thicker material like cardboard. The main reason is because they slide on the table easily when we play the game and that becomes a little annoying. And it might have also been nice if they were a little bigger which would allow for the worker pieces to be a little bigger. They are cute little workers, but they are also very small and easy to misplace. So aside from the component issue I have, which is really minor in the grand scheme of things with this game, this is a great game. I highly recommend it, especially if you like Century Spice Road and worker placement games.

If you are a fan of the Century games you will LOVE this one.
Best in the series. Overall Century Spice is the easiest to learn but A New World is simply on another level. DEFINITELY A MUST BUY for those who love fun and strategic games.

It's good
This is part 3 of the Century games. It's a light worker placement with the same style engine building of exchanging cubes as a currency. To someone who enjoys heavier games this might be too light, but to those that enjoy lighter games this is just a tad on the heavier side. I think it's a good midpoint for all players and a good intro to worker placements.

Best game of the three Century games
This is my favorite of the three Century games, but it is also a lot of fun to combine with either or both of the other two. It keeps Century fun as you change up which version to play.

Great fun
The game is a lit of fun and changes a bit from set up to set up. Very cool how you can combine with other Century games!

Really fun game
It's a really nice addition to the Century lineup - familiar, but with some cool differences that change the strategic nature of the game.

Century games are fun
I love the Century games. They are easy to learn and fast to play, but still complex enough to be enjoyable.

New World - new hobby
Having enjoyed traditional games we bought this as a foray into the modern world of board games, and love it. Part of the appeal of such games is the quality of the components and, unlike one disappointed reviewer, the set we received was excellent. We have gone on to buy Splendor and 7 Wonders Duel, and now we look forward to tv-free evenings each week enjoying gameplay and each other's company. We will soon be needing a bigger games cupboard!

Not as fun as the other 2
Century 1 and 2 are a lot of fun but this one, no so much; too easy.
