For years I had used consumer-grade powerline adapters; tp-link, trendnet, and dlink.Been eyeballing these for a long time but were always cost prohibitive. Got them on sale, bought 4 units (2 kits) to replace all my trendnet units which had suddenly "failed" while I was on vacation but I've had 3 years with flawless operation. Not sure what happened but they no longer communicate with each other even after resets and lights are green.There are two standards for powerline; G.hn and AV/AV2. Every adapter I had used previously were the latter AV-standard and these are my first G.hn adapters.Best I got in my house to my living room (from utility room where server is) was the trendnet at 24Mb/s or roughly 3MB/s and the "quality" light was always red. Other rooms were fine but the living room where it was needed most.Turn-key install and now I get 58Mb/s or 7.25MB/s and "quality" light is green. It's most noticeable when you're streaming video content and you scrub the video (or ffwd) and the length of time from button-press to video resuming. Went from 6 seconds on high-quality content to almost instantaneous.Worth it. If you can get them on sale, buy them.Choose G.hn
