First you have to like ginger. It has a few medicinal properties. If you suck on a slice of ginger when you have a sore throat or a queasy stomach you'll see you symptoms die down after a while.But if you don't like the raw ginger, these candies are a good substitute.

I was so glad to be able to order this size! I had been getting the smaller bags but love these ginger chews so ordered the bigger bag this time! They are not only delicious but they really work to settle my stomach! My only complaint is that they are difficult to open without a scissors.

These little chews are lovely and a great price and the bag will last me a long time, even with sharing! My one personal preference that wasn't met (as I thought it was based on the marketing) was the amount of ginger. It's very tame, with only the slightest bit of heat on the tail-end of the experience. I think it's great for folks that want a sweet ginger-containing treat, but for me, it doesn't work for the G.I. calming effect that I was hoping for. For that reason alongside it being marketed as "Candied Ginger", I bumped it to 4 stars.Is it candy? Yes.Does it contain ginger? Yes.Is it what I have always known as"candied ginger"? Nope. And that's OK.

These ginger chews are flavorful and effective. There great for upset stomachs.
