Works Great!
Super fast and a good clone every time! I am willing to give five stars on the Tech support because there is no need for any! read warnings the case will burn your hand after done shut off and let it cool down for a min. I did not need to formate or initiate any drive first, just install after cloning and expand to its new size! it's not necessary for me to use this connected to the computer for cloning our as external, 1005 worth the money for what it had done for me backing up SSD m.2 operating sys and fills, I will be buying another to make sure that I always have one I have used it on every size up to 2T Cloning

Works great!
I bought a new laptop with an 256gb M.2 drive, and wanted to upgrade it to a 1TB M.2. Bought this device to clone it, and also as an IT consultant, I expect to need to do this more often in the future for clients. The drive cloned perfectly, and it was very fast, 5 or 10 minutes at most maybe. The new drive booted right up, no problem. As expected, it created a 256GB partition, so I just created a new one with the rest of the space.Note that you do have to format the target drive first. I just plugged the Duplicator in to my computer via USB to do that. I neglected to do that prior to my first try, and the duplication process just seemed to hang at 25%. Oops, my bad.Great device - sturdy and looks nice. Metal, not cheap plastic - which is good because NVMe drives do tend to get hot, so the duplicator's casing basically functions as a heat sink.

Works as advertised, but gets very hot even if you are not actively using it
One thing that is not perfectly clear from the info listed for this item is that it is perfectly possible to put a single PCIe M.2 drive into this device and connect it to your computer via SSD and then clone the PC drive to the SSD in the device using other software (such as the free version of AOMEI Partition Manager). A single drive in this device will show up as just another drive to the computer. The USB cable in the box is C to C. Since my PC does not have a USB type C port, I used a USB 3.0 A to C cable (the same type that you might already have to charge a recent Android phone). As I mentioned in the title, this enclosure gets very hot to the touch with even one M.2 drive in it if it is tured on and plugged in to a PC (I didn't actually test it not plugged in to a PC, maybe it still gets hot then also). I think it may have some additional power transforming capacitors inside to run the drives. Not sure, but in any case, keep an eye on this. The heat did not seem to bother the drive I used, while I was cloning to it. There are a couple of heat transfer pads in the package, one for each SSD you might put into the device (which I did use).

Item does not work.
Device gets EXTREMELY hot ( I almost burnt myself which is how hot the casing got. I ended up unplugging it and putting a large fan in front of it for about 10-15 minutes to cool it down) and then fails to clone. It ended up frying the new m.2 drive I was cloning to.Additionally, instead of providing screws and places to screw the drives in, the give you these tiny rubber gaskets that you need to squeeze into tiny holes. This is bery difficult and i had them pop out more than once before finnaly using a tiny screwdriver to push them in.It's possible that I just got a dud but since it killed my new 1TB m.2 drive I don't want to chance getting a new one.

Doesn’t work out of the box.
This device is not working. Followed all of the instructions and it’s not showing percentage at all. Just sits there, turns hot, and then shows no indication it’s done. Will return.

A tool you need when using m.2's
works very well with certain m.2(not with sand disk)all others seem to work well(Samsung,Western digital ect.).no problems setting up,was seen by win 10 pro to initiate and format then copied with tool stand alone copy of smaller m.2 to larger one.HAPPY

Great Product!!
This unit worked great. I would recommend leaving the cover off when transferring data to minimize heat buildup. All PCI Express sticks create large amounts of heat unlike HDD’s.

Better at heating than cloning.
Only clones sometimes. It’s not consistent often resulting in doing nothing but getting super hot. Simple drives without encryption seems to work. And because it’s so new, there’s little info or support for it.
