Works awesome for my cat, but.....
My cat who has had months of persistent stomach issues following some treatments he had, has been tough to deal with due to his frequent diarrhea and accidents. I've found the food he tolerates the best royal canin hypoallergenic rabbit and potato and I feed him half a can of wet in the morning, and some dry in the afternoon and evening (much to my dismay since they aren't the best ingredient-wise and cost a lot). But what works works. His stool (despite being better on this diet) was still barely formed. The recommended dose of this pectillin says 1 tsp every 4 hours for 3 days (or until firm). Instead I've been giving him a single dose (or less) every 3rd morning in his wet food. It seems to only take a tiny bit to encourage that last bit of formed...ness... for him, and his stomach responds very well to it.Con: I can see it not working for some conditions, you may have something you need to treat, but it works awesome for my cat. The only con is the scent is very strong and floral. If your cat is a picky eater he will never touch this stuff. Luckily my cat would attempt to eat a brick if you put it in his food bowl, so that is no problem for me. He doesn't even seem to notice it, though I doubt my other cat would have anything to do with it if I had to give it to her... so know your cat... picky eater and you'll probably want to pass on this, or give it with a syringe at food time or something.

Safe and effective... and cheap but read my cat WARNING if you'd rather not kill your cat!
My cats have no problems when I mix in their wet food as long as you don't go over the recommended dose. The ingredients are completely safe. Your end result will probably depend on how bad they have the runs. With mine, it helped a lot but not completely. They had a pretty bad case.Do NOT be tempted to try something like Milk of Magnesia!!! You'll find that recommended all over the internet. Bismuth Subsalicylate is perfectly safe HOWEVER in just the past few years, the manufactures started adding in other salicylates which is essentially aspirin. Cats can not process aspirin and it can permanently damage their kidneys and even cause death pretty quickly even with small doses.

Works incredibly fast! So helpful! Awesome!
This medicine works GREAT! My beagle has a sensitive tummy and she can have a noisy, upset stomach w/ diarrhea. I only have to give her this 1 time after she has diarrhea and it controls it. I follow the directions and give her another dose 4 hours later and the next day her stool is almost back to normal. She looks more comfortable after taking it. It smells like vanilla. I pour it on a small piece of her hard food or a treat. She eats it up, unless she seems really ill... Then I have to coax her and sprinkle treat crumbs in it. Then, she takes it. It does reduce the number of times she has to go the next day and it's noticeably better. I always say, "This stuff works great!" when I need to give it to her. I think it reminds me of how Pepto or Immodium works for people. Highly recommend this product! Always want to have it in my cabinet!

Seems to have worked!
I had adopted a rescue dog and between new place, invisible fence, different dry food and just general excitement he had the very worst case of nothing but water stools I've ever encountered. I had tried most everything, every trick in the book and nothing helped. In desperation I turned to Amazon and came across this product. Ordered it and with my Prime it was here in 2 days. Can I say with certainty that this is what did it? No, it may have just run it's course regardless but I gave it to him that evening and for the first time since I had brought him home I did not wake to a nasty flood in the morning! And his stools have been just fine ever since! Beside the initial one dose, I gave him one additional the next morning and nothing since. Immodium, Pepto, boiled rice, Kaopectate......nothing had even begun to slow it down, but this seems to have done so. Quick service from seller, quite reasonable priced and it sure seems to have worked darn near instantly. I'll use it again!

Worked for cat with IBD with problems for 9 months
Flagyl helped some with IBD but you can't use it long term. I was desperate when I bought this after many frustating vet visits and cleanups I tried this. I gave this a few times a week off and on and it definitely helped. I was prudent in watching how much I used. Too much causes constipation. I gave with .5ml with a small syringe and kept a close eye on my cat's stool consistencyThe cat was not happy with the taste but shooting it down toward the back of her mouth got it down. I also stopped feeding dry food eventually switched to Whiskas Roasted Turkey wet food. Between the two we now have solid stool. I'd also suggest the probiotic Acetylator mixed with food to support bowel health it has helped too. Yahoo groups has a Feline IBD group if you need help or support for this problem.FYI A cat that is constipated may limp or walk funny and also cry at the litter box and around the house. This may require a vet's attention don't let it go long. The same goes for diarrhea they can get dehydrated and develop vitamin deficiencies that definitely can need a vets attention.

Didn't work much to my kitten
Kitten had parasites before and got albon from vet, used it for 10 days as suggested, was told to have another stool sample after 2 weeks. Within that 2 weeks he started having diarrhea, watery i have to say, very serious but he was eating very normal, and very playful nothing looked different except his stool. Didnt want to visit vet so Bought this, discontinued food for 18 hours and gave him plain boiled chicken and pumpkin along with this medication did work little bit but when slowly switch back to normal kitten food with this medication diarrhea again. Maybe he still has parasites I said to myself, Took his stool sample to the vet, results came back negative. No idea what caused his diarrhea. Vet gave me metronidazole, twice a day for 7 days. Gave him the first dose ASAP I got home and next morning very firmed stool appeared till today( 2 days already). He's been on this kitten food for a month so I dont think it's because of the food. I'm adopting another kitten tmr, still believe this medication will work.
