Q: No download pdf for the bm560 in english & no clear instructions on how to update the bm560, very poor???

Thank you for your consultation. BM-560 battery detector is a type that supports 6v-12v car battery detection. When we put the products on the shelves, we have attached the English version of the instruction manual about BM-560（There is a paper version of the manual in the product packaging ）. The version update only needs to connect bm560 to the computer to detect whether it needs to be updated. If you do not find this manual, you can contact the front desk customer service to download it or contact us to provide it to you.

Q: Can you test the battery with the car running also, to check charging voltage?

Yes, it's has a setting for in-car monitoring.

Q: Does it tell you if alternator , battery and starter need to be replaced ?

I do know that it will tell you if the battery is bad and it does tell you that it needs to be replaced. It give the info of state of charge, CCA after the test and internal resistance of the battery. I will tell you info of the alternator and starter as well.

Q: how easy is this to update via USB, has anyone tired it or knows the step(s) process on how it is done, be great???

There is a simple process to update, first you have to DL the updated software to your computer, open the zip file then follow these directions; 1. Attach the BM580 to laptop/PC via USB cable. 2. A new removable device will be displayed 3: Format the drive with DEFAULT values. 4. Copy and the files from the opened .zip folder and paste in the to root of removable device. 5. Upgrade finished 6: Eject device 7: Test (first test after update will show a loading screen)
