Great gift for a child who loves pirates
This was a GREAT GIFT for a child who longs to be a pirate. AND IT"S MADE OUT OF WOOD NOT plastic.My four year old grandson was thrilled. The gift exceeded my expectations. I only wish the treasure chest was functional- in other words- I wish it would OPEN. The ship, figures, canon, mast, ship ramp were all just awesome. I highly recommend!!!

Absolutely adorable!
I got this for my grandson on his 3rd birthday, he loves it! Little hands need supervision with this toy. It is sturdy, but small people don't always know their own strength! Very good buy, plan on getting one for my granddaughter.

Love this!
I bought this pirate ship over a year ago to use with the preschool class that I teach. I know that some of the reviews said that they’ve had trouble with things breaking, but I’ve had no such problems! The children in my class love playing with this and they are hard on my toys! Surprisingly, I’ve had no issues. It is so cute and well worth the cost.

I love wooden toys vs plastic. This set is well made, everything stores inside the ship. Makes it a great toy to take along with you.I did cut off the loop on the crows nest so that the crew could stand inside.

Pleasantly Surprised!
Update: While I was originally impressed with this buy, I knew time would tell. It's been about 3 months since purchasing this pirate ship, and we've already had to superglue about 4 small parts that have fallen off. (Thankfully my toddler brought these to me right away.) In retrospect I wish I would have purchased a more expensive brand that would last.///I was sincerely impressed by this purchase. I'm a big Melissa and Doug fan, but I couldn't find any wooden pirate ships from them. I thought I'd give this one a shot even though it had no reviews. The quality is not quite as high as I would expect from a Melissa and Doug product, but it has withheld 3 weeks of intense play so far and a new favorite in our family. I'd recommend!
