2002 Polaris sportsman 500
Replaced ball joints on my wheeler, puller tool that came with kit worked perfect. Ball joints seem of good quality time will tell. Only small issue i had was the plate holding ball joint in. The hole was not quite big enough to go over the ball joint and I had to enlarge a little. ( old plate would not fit either) Dremel made short work of it but if you didn’t have that ability you’d be cussin. Other than that it would be 5 stars.

Meh…
Ball joints are not greaseable so I had to drill a hole and make a grease port. The retaining plates don’t fit the ball joint cup (the I.D. Is to small. Had to punch it out to fit the original plates wouldn’t even fit). About the only thing that worked in this kit without customization was the removal tool and cotter pins. I would not buy again and would spend the extra coin and buy name brand.

Removal tool works perfectly
Removal with the supplied tool is a breeze! Also note, that the easy way of installing the new ball joints to to put them in the freezer for 20 minutes, and they will push right into the sockets. If you feel a lot of resistance, just keep pushing so the air can escape from the socket.I should have made a video, because all the videos I saw was people removing the entire shock tower to work on the bench, and some guy putting a torch to it for removal! I did this by only removing the wheel and unbolting the ball joint. Then just do as instructed above :-)

Fits with modification
These fit my 2005 Polaris Ranger 500 4x4, but the bracket to keep the ball in place needed the dremel treatment to seat fully. The diameter of the hole matched that of the cup.

The ball joints look good, but the guides were not correct and they do not have grease cert holes in the bottom of the ball joints. I had to use the old guides and make grease certs.
