No Live Monitoring
A major selling point on this purchase was the headphone jack for “live monitoring.” That is NOT the case. You CANNOT monitor your recording live.I repeat. You CANNOT monitor your recording live.Other than that - exactly as described.

I bought a second one
Took a chance for the price. I made recordings of myself on trumpet with backing track -- both WITH the MOVO and with iPad's internal mic. The MOVO definitely adds a lot to the internal mic... I guess I'd call it "presence". Bigger, clearer sound. I read the reviews of the $100-150 phone/tablet mics on Amazon many times, and I didn't take the chance on the expensive microphones, hoping that I'd find a less-expensive one that did a good job of live recording for my jazz band in restaurants, bars, etc., so I can piece together a demo. I think this MOVO will handle that well, so I'll try recording on two devices and import both tracks and see if I can clean up a few good minutes here and there.I have NOT tried to monitor the live sound through the headphones, and won't really need to for my purposes, but I'm wondering if I can run a line out to a monitor.

Good mic
I like the microphone. The wind muff in the picture does not come with it, i ordered separately. Good thing is that it has a port for your headphones. So you don't have to remove the mic in order to hear the video you shot. It does not let you monitor live audio. Unless that app you are using lets you do that, like filmic pro. Overall it did the job :)

Works like a charm
Bought this for my son to use with his Nintendo Switch. The console doesn't support voice chat on his wireless headset (PlayStation Gold wireless headset that I rarely use) for multiplayer games. He quickly figured out a workaround. Plug this baby into the headset jack, plug ear buds or a headset into the jack ( or use the wireless headphones) and viola! Now he can play Fortnite with his friends and chat it up to his hearts content.

Great to improve Facebook live sound
I have purchased quite a few different mics to try to get better sound on Facebook Live (follow us on The Knowsy Neighbors to hear it in action). I really like it because you can flip it forward and back. When I'm talking I want it pointed to me, when I am interviewing someone, I want it aimed at them, works perfect. It is also light so it won't add wieght when you are carrying your phone.

Almost worthless
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Falls way below expectationsHead phone jack is dead. It doesnt pickup any sound. At 1.5meters from source, sound is almost not different. It provided almost 10% difference in amplification at best.Attached video explained: recording ar 1.5m away from the sound source using honor 8x max.2 fingers on screen = recording with movo; 3 fingers = recording with movo+headphone on jack; 1finger=plain

Plug and Play!
Worked great out of the box, plug it in and there is a good amount of improvement over a phone mic. With my Galaxy 8, I did not need to download any kind of app. I've used the headphone port to monitor on my laptop to desktop speakers, no problems or adjustments. You can't beat the price and many of these for phone mics do not have the headphone monitor jack but this one does. You will find this mic is a good value and very useful.

Great value / quality balance
Use this for iPhone recording in small 800 square foot meeting room at back of room with speaker mic and speaker sound system at front. Makes YouTube acceptable videos

Very wide frequency response for a low cost microphone
Was able to calibrate this microphone when used with an iPhone to provide a calibrated, sensitive microphone for monitoring environmental noise from wind turbines in a cost effective manner.
