Smart Mini Wifi Plug, BRIGHTWORLD 4 Packs Wireless Remote Control Anywhere with Timing Function, No Hub Required Outlet Compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant and IFTTT Socket

So far no issues or problems but we've not owned it for that long therefore I cannot give 5 stars yet, but would give it 4.5 if I could. The setup is not complicated nor hard, just takes a bit to do the wireless setup, add an Alexa skill, and then add schedules (of which there are many). Only using one device for a lamp we used to have on a timer that is in a corner behind furniture making it difficult to manually turn on or off. Plus time change is another thing to manually have to change on the timer. This may have eliminated all this quickly and easily (bought it after time change) with low cost and much better control. We do have an Echo so we can turn the light on and off at will using voice commands plus this does not override any automatic settings we have set. As mentioned options are numerous including grouping devices together (I have two plugs) and being able to turn on and off things when away from home thru the app is cool. They are also immune to power outages as far as lost time, we lost power after I bought this and we did not have to do anything because of it, nice! Wireless seems to be fine so far, we have not lost connection and the light has not failed to turn on or off as expected. I can't compare to other products but this is doing what I wanted, exactly how I wanted, and as easily as I wanted. Time will tell but very happy with the product so far, I bought two because I had never tried these types before but wanted to be able to do more than one at a time if I wanted (grouping). Now that I know, if you have multiple devices to control like this (remember this is a 10A and 2200W limited plug) I highly recommend them. I have even started to look into outdoor WiFi plugs for Christmas lights as we have another manual timer to replace (and manually set times and watch out for power outages). :-)

Manual says that red indicator lights indicate power on. These have no red indicator lights, they only flash blue, which, according to the manual, means that the network connection is "abnormal". Not sure what they are trying to say by abnormal, but my network connection is quite normal.Also, manual is useless--seems to have lost a lot in translation. Also, each page is 1.5" by 2.5", with screen shots that even if you magnify you can't see.Funny that the front of the manual says Smart. I am surprised Amazon would market this junk on their site.

These smart plugs are awesome! Every year for Christmas I put up tons of lights up in the house and every night I have to go around and plug and unplug the lights in. This saves a lot of time and hassle, I simply open up the app and go down the line and turn on and off! LOVE IT! I initially had a little trouble setting it up until I realized my phone was connected to the 5ghz part of my network instead of the 2.4. Once I figured that out and switched on the my phone the rest were a breeze. I will be getting more for the rest of the home. I highly recommend!

Let's get the unfortunate parts out of the way -1) They fail the firmware update every time2) You can not stack them one over the other.Now, for the good parts:They paired easily with my phone, I had to drop out of my 5ghz band on Wifi to enroll them in the app. Once enrolled, they were easy to use and instantly ready.The app is easy to use and so far seems to be regularly updated. With this app, you can be anywhere that you have a signal, either WiFi or Cellular data, and control the plugs. This means, you can also jump back up to your 5ghz band and control them!They are great for devices which have "memory'" of previous powered on state. For example, anything that has a manual on/off switch turned into the on position. They are great for holiday lights, household lamps, televisions, or even fans. Integration with Amazon Echo was super easy and seamless.

These are the worst wi-fi plugs made. After hours of trying to get these to connect to my wi-fi using the smartlife app, no luck. I even upgraded my router to the latest ASUS gaming router and still no luck. I even went so far as to purchase 4 more so I could have another out of the box experience but still had the same results. We currently have 15 other devices connected To our wi-fi ( yes 2.4) with no issues. The instruction sheet that come with the device, there is no help desk number to call....These things are crap and I am taking them with me for a skeet shoot and record and post on you tube as a warning to other potential buyers.

I set this up on my Alexa and the Smart life app in less than 10 minutes start to finish. I often ask Alexa turn on bedroom light, and Alexa would respond "ok" everytime. Everything works great, and I have had this for about few days and recommend it.

After about 7 months one of the plugs seem to have gone offline. Trying different things to reset or get to work again. I can't seem to Google exact info on the brand to get specific troubleshooting guide. A little frustrated but you get what you pay for. Hopefully the other 3 plugs don't end up the same.

I like these plugs since they integrate with Google Home. I was able to set these up and add them to Google Home so I can now turn them on and off by voice commands. I have one setup on a schedule to turn off and on in the middle of the night to reset my wifi router. It has worked great for that. The other one is for our bedroom light. It allows me to turn it on and off from anywhere in the house by voice command. Recommend it, very nice!!!
