Broan-NuTone413023 Ductless Range Hood Insert with Light, Exhaust Fan for Under Cabinet, 30-Inch, Black

I bought this range hood to replace a very old one that I hated. This was an amazing upgrade for me. My husband installed it by himself but I did help hold it in place for him so I would suggest having someone to help. I love having a black range hood that matches my black oven range. The fan has 2 speeds and it is so quiet. Yes, it is a fan so you can hear it but it isn't so loud that you can't hear anything else, like my old one was. The filter is easily removed for cleaning, which is also a nice change for me. The light is nice and bright. My only complaint is that you have to buy the protective cover for the lightbulb separately. I don't know why protecting the lightbulb from the steam is an optional accessory. Anyways, I use this range hood every day and I love it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Love my new hood is the exact one I’ve had for 43 years and I’m so glad I was able to find the exact one that fit in the same spot did a little updating and painting in the kitchen so I wanted a new fresh hood

A good solution in a ductless situation. The build quality is fine, a little thin but with good tolerances and a decent finish. There are plenty of mounting holes for various under-cabinet setups and the unit's light weight helps make getting a trustworthy mount relatively straightforward. I don't understand why it doesn't come standard with the light deffuser; we had to order one separately. As far as set up, two sets of hands will make mounting a lot easier - ask me how I know. Power cable had to be ordered separately and I would strongly recommend going with the six-foot cord to give a little more flexibility. The wiring itself is simple but be sure to use quality fittings to ensure a good secure contact between the internal wiring and power cable. I went with Wago connectors and wrapped each one in electricians tape just for added security. Overall, satisfied with this hood and hope it stands the test of time.

This range hood was an excellent replacement for the original old one that was original to the house and oven. It was a very close match with a perfect fit. It was easy to install and visually cleaned up the space. It did not include the filter or lightbulb.

This hood was easy for my handyman to install. The light and fan both work and it matches my new stainless steel appliances. It looks very nice, is east to clean, and I’m happy with my purchase.

I install these in my rental units the only issue is the motor they should be wired 50/60, it only 60 htz but apparently they were only manufactured for the USA market.
