Economical way to add 2.5Gbit support
Card installed and recognized by Windows 10, no special drivers necessary.System is also used for VMware work, ESXi 7 requires installing the Net-Community-Driver, current version is 1.2.7.0. Once that is installed, card is available for use and vMotion migrations are considerably faster than over a 1Gbit network.

Easy to install and load drivers.
DIED after two weeks.During its brief life it worked great.Guess I'll be spending a little extra money on something better. We had a lightning storm. I checked my computer devices to see if anything was damaged. Everything runs through an APC ups circuit protector. Everything is fine, however now the Network Adapter is working. Two weeks so far. I'll let you know if that changes. Spooky.

2.5Gbe card didn't work in PCIe 3.0 x1 slot
I got this Network Card because it would fit in my PCIe 3.0 x1 available slot on my motherboard (ASUS ROG Strix 370-G Gaming motherboard). I have a 10 Gigabit Switch (Trendnet TEG-7080ES), and CAT 7 cable. With a 10 Gbe ethernet card, the same Cat 7 cable, connectors and 10Gbe switch, run at full speed. However, when using the 2.5 Gbe card, it runs at a much slower speed than 2.5 Gbe, on the order of 1 Gbe.The latest Intel driver for the card, version 28.2.1, was used with their Intel(R) PROSet Adapter Configuration Utility, passes the card's "Hardware Tests", fails the "Cable Link Status" of the "Connection Tests",and fails both "Cable Tests".I tried the same card with another computer of similar type slots and got the same results. Now maybe it's a bad card, and I would have submitted a request for tech support, but there is nothing listed in the instructions or here. So I am giving this a 1 star. Should something change, I will update this review, but I am returning this card for now.

Dual Port NIC w/Intel 82576 Chipset
I tossed this NIC into an older Dell and built a pfSense (FreeBSD fork) firewall (IDS/IPS, domain blocking). This NIC functions well for this task and it was inexpensive to boot! It's a SFF Dell that found new life as the best firewall my SB client has ever owned. It's cheap, compatible and functions well.Pros: price, functionality, compatibilityCons: non existent for me at this time

Exactly what I needed
I purchased this NIC to bypass my motherboard’s integrated Realtek controller that was forcing my computer to be limited to 100mb/s network speeds. This NIC was very easy to install, and I was immediately able to see an improvement in speed as it auto negotiated true gigabit speeds with my switch. My ping dropped from 7 to 1ms, and streaming videos no longer freeze temporarily. Delivery was fast, and the contents were well protected. A great value for the money for the performance of this NIC.

Worked plug and play in FreeBSD
Bought this to match the cable modem nic and was pleasantly surprised I didn’t have to complete the driver for OPNSense. It worked immediately and picked up and IP at 2500MBps and even shows as an option for Speed/Duplex in OPNSense.

Functional 2.5G eithernet
Does what its supposed to, but I have issues with the windows drivers. Required flipping some configuration switches to make it stable under windows 10.
