Horseradish Roots for Planting - Grow Big Top Horseradish - Horseradish Crowns Garden Plant, Large Roots (8 Roots)

I got instructions for planting strawberries and asparagus... But none for horseradish or how to contact company. Little roots were growing out from larger root when it was planted. Soil type - ph balance or hours of sunlight needed??? I expected it to be hardy. No growth is showing. The onions planted next to it seem to be growing. LATER - The plants are coming along and growing. The roots were large when they arrived.

The horseradish arrived moldy, squishy, spongy, not firm, and not viable. There were zero green shoots like in all the pictures. They arrived as two small chunks of root. I planted both anyway and then dug them up a couple weeks later and they were rotten mush with maggots!!!They should not have been shipped in the first place.

I was a little worried when I got these roots. I had no idea what I was doing and was sure these were no good. I was totally wrong. Every piece of this grew and in the fall I made horseradish from the roots. The horseradish was very good and strong tasting. I think it will come back this year as well.

The roots that I bought last hear have sprung back to life this year.

From a realistic standpoint I should have waited to buy until November when it's cooler BUT in the listing it doesn't say that it's supposed to be planted when the soil is cool. It does however in the actual instructions in the box. I couldn't realistically let them just sit till the soil cooled, I ordered them in June and I live in Texas. Considering all, 4 out of 6 growing is pretty good. I'll buy some more in another month or so. And read the instructions. They need to be planted shallower than you'd think.

Was sent three chunks of root and only one piece has the crown on that can grow.Not as advertised

When the roots arrived, they felt completely dry and there were no hints of healthy green or white, just a dusty brown colour. I soaked them in a cup of water while I dug a hole in the ground, threw them in and proceeded to neglect them. It's been a couple months but they're actually coming along nicely now

Very poor quality. Two pieces were cut from a large root. Although it says two roots. Nothing in common with the picture or description. I do not recommend buying.
