I run a small plant shop, so I've been through my fair share of soil mixes and I have been pleasantly surprised by this aroid mix from Grow Queen! I will say, it is a bit denser than a typical aroid mix, but in my opinion, that's all the better. It's perfect for a lot of my thirstier aroids (and houseplants in general.) Particularly for Fallopia, Begonia and Alocasia. I grow in a pretty hot environment so a lot of other aroid mixes dry out way too fast leaving me stuck watering basically on the hour. Well no more! This mix has been a total game changer. High quality, great texture and components. It even smells nice! I highly recommend.

I was presented the opportunity to try out the soil and fertilizer from Grow Queen and it couldn't come at a more perfect time. I've heard so many good things from them so I was eager when they reached out. I was able to pot up 8 of my cuttings in 3-4 inch pots and upgrade from a 4-inch pot to an 8-inch using their soil. I had just enough left to use for my next repot. The soil was very chunky with just the right amount of moisture retention. It also had a very earthy smell after watering from all the organic ingredients used. I wanted to make sure I tested it using a variety of plants which were: reverted Monstera Albo, Monstera Siltepecana El Salvador, Hoya Krimson Queen, Hoya publicalix, Global Green Pothos, Philodendron Anderson Red, Philodendron SP Colombia, Philodendron Plowmanii, and Anthurium Magnificum. After a month, all my cuttings transfer well except one. I'm happy with the results I'm seeing. I'm excited to see how they continue to grow using the fertilizer.

I love this soil. I purchased it due to a popular soil I used for years which arrived with fungus nats that I'm having a hard time getting rid of. This soil is aiding my Alocasias with growth, and no leaf loss 1 alocasia has actually bloomed. My only suggestion to this company is, not to include a sample of the plant food directly in the soil mix as the package arrived with pieces of the rapping separate in the mix. However the plant food I have since purchased separately, definitely aids in the plants health and works well in combination with this soil. I most certainly would purchase both items again

I have started teaching myself how to propagate and transplant plants. I was really excited to try this mix out on some of my water propagations and its been going so good!I normally make my own mix, but I have a problem with moisture retention for my new props since it’s always too chunky.This drains really well, but still has all the things I need to make sure my plants stay hydrated for a while which was perfect.For the price, this is a really great premade chunky mix to use especially for the grade of items mixed in!! This is a great addition to everything I use for my plants so I’ll definitely be buying this again.
