Death Stranding 2: On The Beach - PS5

If you gave DS1 at least 7/10 then you’ll probably give this one a 12/10. If you loved DS1 then DS2 will feel like everything Kojima did right has been, for all intents and purposes, perfected. The raving reviews just don’t do it justice. This game is a masterpiece and the graphics are probably the best ever achieved. Just buy it.

If you enjoyed Death Stranding 1, you will love its sequel. It is better than the first one by a mile.High production values, improved game-play mechanics, really interesting story, and excellent (technical) performance makes this one of the best games of 2025.Highly recommended.5/5

Pre-ordered from Amazon for over 2 months..Day before release: not shipped, no movement with the orderDay of release: and "approval needed" was the result followed by "we'll let you know when this item ships"Went with Target to at least get a shipping window of this Sunday. Seriously a joke for me as a gamer to rely on Amazon for newly released game. I'm new to modern gaming but I guess I need to look into picking it up at GameStop or buying from GameStop? Seriously disappointing. Walmart is awful too, similar results with this game shipping late and being unavailable for in-store pickup.For realz- DS1 has been a massive breath of fresh air and despite Amazon being 100% lackluster in meeting gamers halfway I'm still 1000% hyped to see what Kojima unfolds with his newest creation. There's almost indescribable creative flow and execution from this legend of a game designer. One of the absolute greatest talents in his field and beyond it with his cinematic golden eye for style and structure. Let's see what you've got for us Master Kojima 🙏

Be sure to have played DS1 first---that's a must. The sequel picks up directly where the first game left off: not a spin-off, different story in the same universe, or reboot. It’s a direct sequel. And in true Kojima fashion, its near impossible to catch up in recap.Gameplay-wise, there's more combat, vehicles, and a greater feeling of being a force in this game. The exploration is still there, the mystical awe-filled eerie world is there, over the top cinematics, adventure/action horror, and all the freedom in the world.Highly recommend. One of the few true bangers to come out this gen that is actually a next gen game.

I bought my copy from a local retailer, but just want to let people know this is a must for PS5 -- especially for my fellow PS5 Pro owners!
